I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. Proverbs 8:12 KJV

I want to share a divine truth that has the power to transform our lives and the world around us. The Bible tells us that our God is a God of boundless wisdom and infinite creativity. For example, Romans 11:33, says that His ways are past finding out! In addition, Psalm 33:6, tells us that God spoke the heavens into existence. It’s amazing how astronomers are still discovering new planets and galaxies.  Moreover, oceanographers are still discovering new sea creatures that man has never seen before. So, we see that even nature reveals the depths of God’s creativity. Let’s take a look at this key Scripture below.

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgements and His ways past finding out! Romans 11:33

Created To Be Creative

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27 NKJV

In being created in the image of God, He has gifted each and every one of us with a remarkable ability, which is the ability to conceive and implement witty ideas. You see, God did not create us to be stagnant. It’s not God’s will that our gifts and talents lie dormant. Furthermore, God’s design for us was not to be confined by the limitation of circumstances. Instead, He has planted within each of us the seed of innovation, and we know that a seed must be nurtured to bring it to fruition.

Too often, we, as God’s instruments in the earth, find ourselves bound within the confines of our own mind, in which we have been conditioned by our society. This is why God tells us to be not conformed to this world; Romans 12:2. Oftentimes, there are obstructions in our minds that may have derived from our upbringing or possibly from a toxic environment. Thus, if we go through life unaware of what can be labeled as “mental blockages”, then our minds can remain conditioned to our current circumstances to the degree that we can’t see beyond them.

Changing Your Mindset

Let’s look at this next Scripture in John 5:2-6 below.

Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.

V. 5) Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?John 5:2-6.

Notice, Jesus asked the man at the gate of Bethesda; did he want to be made well. The man explains that he was unable to enter the water, because he had no one there to help him, and others went down ahead of him; John 5:2-7. What we see here… is a man whose mind had been conditioned to think defeat. He was already defeated in his own mind. So, Jesus posed the question not because He didn’t know the answer. The Lord wanted to expand his mind. The Lord knew that if He could expand his mind and think beyond his current condition, then surely the man’s faith would begin to rise to eventually receive his healing.

Faith To Rise Above Circumstances

We must understand that God called us to rise above “conditioned” ways of thinking.  Whatever you’re aspiring to, you have to see it in your heart before you see it in the natural! In the past, you may have tried to pursue a goal, and it didn’t work. You tried it again, and it didn’t work. I want to encourage you to never give up!

God’s desire is that we open our hearts and minds to the possibilities that lie beyond our present circumstances. This means that we must be open to embrace new concepts and ideas that have the potential to bring about positive change… not just in our lives, but in the lives of those around us. In Proverbs 8:12, we’re reminded that wisdom is not a static concept, but rather spirit. This Scripture says, I wisdom dwell with prudence. Proverbs 1:20 says, wisdom calls out in the street! So, the spirit of wisdom constantly seeks to engage with us.

Drawing a Distinction Between Wisdom and Creativity

I want to draw a distinction between wisdom and creativity. The two are interconnected yet distinct and both play unique roles in our lives. Wisdom can be seen as the application of knowledge in a way that leads to sound judgment. It involves the ability to make wise decisions, discern right from wrong, and to navigate life’s challenges with good judgement. On the other hand, creativity is the ability to think imaginatively and generate new ideas, solutions, or to express talent.

Creativity involves breaking free from traditional patterns of thinking and approaching problems or situations from unique angles. So, sometimes we need to try a different approach if we’re not getting the results that we’re looking for. So, while wisdom draws from accumulated knowledge and experience, creativity flows from the realm of imagination and inspiration. Furthermore, wisdom helps us make informed choices based on what we know, while creativity opens the door to unexplored territory and new perspectives.

Uncharted Territories

As we seek to align our hearts with God, understand that God’s wisdom is not confined to the past or limited to the present. It carries over into our “future”, beckoning us to explore the uncharted territories of innovation and creativity. Think about this… How many times have we seen the result of a new idea, and we go man… why didn’t I think of that?

Meanwhile, look at how much our economy has changed. Through the advancement of technology, people can start their own taxi service business through companies like Uber or Lyft. It used to be where you had to transfer money through a bank. Now, people can transfer money on their cell phone through apps. People can start their own Airbnb business. Whereas, in previous years major hotel businesses had a monopoly on that industry. Not only hotels, but also the car rental industry. Now, people can start their own car rental service by partnering with companies like Turo. Are you starting to see the possibilities?

Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone

We must be willing to step out of our comfort zones and venture into uncharted territory, which starts with prayer, meditation, and a humble spirit. When we come before God, seeking His guidance and wisdom, we position ourselves to receive the witty ideas He desires to bestow upon us. We must pray fervently, asking God to renew our minds and to reveal to us the path He has ordained for our lives.

God has equipped us with the capacity to think critically, to challenge the status quo, and to dream beyond the boundaries of our circumstances. He wants us to realize that the solutions to our problems and the keys to our breakthrough are not always found in the familiar, but rather in the unexplored realms of our imaginations.

Ultimately, when we seek wisdom from God, we open our hearts and minds to His divine guidance, ensuring that our ideas and actions are aligned with His purposes. Furthermore, we must surround ourselves with a community of like-minded individuals who are also committed to pursuing God’s wisdom and embracing new ideas. Together, we can encourage and challenge one another to step out in faith, take risks, and implement innovative solutions to the problems we face.

Conclusion

In summary, let us be reminded that our God is a God of infinite creativity and boundless wisdom. He has given us the ability to conceive and implement witty ideas. Let us not allow ourselves to be confined by our circumstances, but instead, let us open our hearts and minds to the possibilities that lie beyond them. By doing so, we can bring about positive change and create a brighter future for ourselves and others. Both wisdom and creativity are gifts from God, bestowed upon us to bring about His purposes and to bless the world around us.

By cultivating both qualities of wisdom and creativity, we can navigate the complexities of life with discernment and embrace the potential for positive change and growth. Seek wisdom from God and allow your creative spirit to soar, that you may honor God and contribute to the flourishing of His creation. May God bless you with divine inspiration that you may step out with courage to embrace and apply new concepts for His glory.
