Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of faith. This devotional helps you wait with courage, trust God’s timing, and find strength in the waiting season.
Scripture Reading
“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”
Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)
Waiting is one of the most challenging parts of faith. We want clarity now, resolution now, relief now. But sometimes God uses waiting not to punish us, but to deepen us.
Waiting Is Active Trust
Waiting on the Lord is not doing nothing—it’s continuing to pray, obey, and hope while trusting God’s timing. Waiting doesn’t always mean God is withholding. Often, it means God is preparing.
Courage in the Waiting
“Be of good courage.” Courage is continuing to believe God is faithful even when your timeline stretches. Sometimes the greatest act of faith is quiet perseverance.
God Strengthens Your Heart
God promises to strengthen your heart in the waiting. This season is not wasted. What God builds in you now often sustains you when the answer arrives.
A Prayer for Today
Lord,
Help me wait with faith and courage. Strengthen my heart when I feel impatient or discouraged.
Teach me to trust Your timing and believe You are working, even in the waiting. I place my hope in You today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Reflection Question
