When nothing seems to be changing, God is still at work. This devotional strengthens your faith to trust God’s process, timing, and purpose in uncertain seasons.
Scripture Reading
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
One of the hardest parts of uncertain seasons is feeling like nothing is happening. You’re praying, waiting, and trying to do the right thing—but the situation isn’t changing the way you hoped.
God Works in the Process
God often works not only in the outcome, but in the process—strengthening patience, faith, discernment, character, and dependence on Him. Some of His most important work happens within you.
“All Things” Includes What You Didn’t Choose
Romans 8:28 doesn’t say all things are good; it says God works them together for good. God doesn’t waste pain, overlook tears, or ignore what you’ve carried.
Your Calling Still Stands
Your calling remains even in a hard season. What you’re facing is real, but it is not final. God can turn setbacks into a testimony, and rebuild what feels broken.
Trust God’s Heart When You Can’t Track His Hand
Even when you can’t see how God is working, He is still moving. He may be working behind the scenes through timing, people, and preparation. Hold on—He is faithful.
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father,
Thank You that You are always at work, even when I can’t see it. Help me trust Your process and Your timing.
Strengthen my faith when I feel discouraged. I choose to believe You are working all things together for good and that Your purpose for my life will stand.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
